Ran it then checked it again. Drove about 20 highway miles home, checked my oil again and was extremely surprised to find how much cleaner my oil appeared. It was at least two shades lighter in color. Has been keeping it clean since then. I plan on sending in an oil analysis once I reach 7500. Oil seems clean for now at 6000 miles. Overall great build quality for an oil filter. The casing feels like a heavier gauge than most oil filters which is reassuring. I have cut open several of these after use, even after 10k miles, they look and feel really well made. Pleats are evenly spaced and the bypass disc does catch a lot of stuff. I have used them for only a few years but I will continue to use them. I have talked to the order center several times and the lady is very friendly and eager to help.
