My cat loathes the hard-plastic carriers you see everywhere, complains constantly while in them! With this soft-sided carrier, he'll complain but it's not as dire sounding as when he's in the hard-plastic carriers. I love that the bed has a strip of Velcro to keep it in place and that you're able to remove the panel-insert so you can wash the fleece bed. The zipper at the very top is large enough to stick your hand in and not have the cat's head poke out due to how sturdy the opening is (they'd either have to have a small head (i.e. a kitten) or push very, very hard. The mesh pockets on the carrier are a nice added bonus.
