Ask the manufacture. For me it is a waste of money. It made me extremely dehydrated and nauseous. Unless your doctor tells you to take it, I wouldn't bother getting it. I was surprised to learn the symptoms for low stomach acid and too much stomach acid are similar. I also had not known that low stomach acid was such an under recognized problem and that it was effecting me. My doctor diagnosed me with low stomach acid and prescribed that I take this supplement. It seemed helpful at times. I think it would be great for some people and would recommend giving it a try since digestion and sufficient stomach acid are so important.
