You won't get the same clarity and tones as a handheld call, but if you're a beginner hunter or don't have the experience with hand calling, this is a great alternative.I bought this for a friend for Christmas, then ended up getting one from a different friend haha. I did take it out bow hunting. I only used it once, when a grey fox ran past my tree. The call stopped him in his tracks and turned him around, though it wasn't enough to keep him around for long.I was surprised with how loud the thing gets. It's decent loud, loud enough in quite woods I guess. But the buck snort and coyote howl, sounds like it's very distorted and can tell it's being played from a speaker. Given the price and purpose of this, I'd say it's worth it. For sure with youths and learning to hunt. It would stop anything on the run so that's a plus, but so would a random grunt from you. Deff worth $25 bucks tho.
