The 18/0 has to do with the grade of the Stainless Steel, and has nothing to do with the number of pieces in the set. As advertised, the set contains 45 pieces. Keep in mind that 18/0 has no nickel and is sold for those that are allergic to nickel. It's also true that 18/0 should be towel dried immediately after being washed as it prone to corrode. **Q: Do you know what country they are manufacured in? THanks** A: They say Vietnam 9-11 on them. **Q: What is the length of the forks?** A: Each dinner fork fork is 7/38 inches long (Not counting the bends). This is the room it would take on the table. Hoping to avoid an outright return, because I do love the set, I reached out directly to Lenox through the product support link here on the Amazon listing. It was in vain. Clearly, there is a manufacturing defect as ONLY the decorative handles of the knives are experiencing rust, while the entirety of the remaining set is fine. All pieces are washed and dried according to manufacturer guidelines and arguably, the knives are used far less than any other pieces. However, within days and with minimal use, rust began to appear all over every single decorative handle. Lenox, (Onieda’s parent company) customer service claims no part of the Amazon storefront, claiming they do not sell directly to Amazon. So for anyone about to purchase, do so fully informed and with discretion.
