I have many of the other Truly Garden tools and find that the grafting knife is similar - good quality, aesthetically pleasing (why is it that gardeners usually care about this?), and functional. I've always had a Victorinox budding and grafting knife but now that I have a 10 yr old helping me out, I needed a locking blade. It is sharp out of the box for the first few cuts, though afterwards I did a bit of fine honing because I'm a bit picky about my knives. Functional, beautiful, affordable. Truly Garden did it again. Good choice for what you pay!!! ### ⭐ Falsely Labeled as "single Bevel", when it is Double Beveled, and cutting edge is not straight. *by A***R on February 16, 2019* Listed as a "Right-handed" single beveled knife. In fact it is a DOUBLE beveled knife - that is, beveled on both sides; Thus it is NOT a "right handed knife". To get a really straight cut in grafting, one should use a single beveled knife. If you look closely at the knife's sharp edge (enlarge the photo) , you can see that it is NOT straight, but has slight curves in the cutting edge. A knife's cutting edge should be perfectly straight. I did not use the knife, since it was not what I ordered, and immediately returned it.
