THEY MADE ME FAT!!! I couldn't stop eating them!! They taste too good!! Review: Old, separated and bland - I was not happy with these chocolates. All the pieces were covered in the white "fat bloom" that occurs when there is separation either from the chocolate being old or kept in too hot, humid or too cold of conditions. The expiration date on the box was a month from the time I received it. I usually buy these locally, we've bought many boxes over the years and they're always great and have never looked like this. Sadly, the shop I purchase them from went out of business with the pandemic early this year. They're a favorite of my husband and he had already started eating them when I saw their condition, otherwise I would of sent them back. He said he thought they would still taste good but they did not, he found them hard, bland and stale. I usually buy a dozen boxes at the holidays for stocking stuffers, thank goodness these weren't meant as gifts. I'm not sure if this product is being mishandled and stored improperly by the seller or if it's the type of thing that just doesn't do well in shipping.
