Review: Five Year Old Thrilled - Our son loves Optimus, so we got him this one. It hasn't broken yet! The arms do pop loose occasionally, but they pop right back on, so no big deal. We were worried the transforming process was too complicated for our five year old at first, but he got the hang of it in a few days, and can pretty much transform it himself now. He is very dexterous, meticulous, focused, and uses fine motor skills on the daily, so we figured he would use it a lot, and he does. We're happy with the purchase.
Review: 5 y/o loves it but requires MOM help - I needed to help my son when he first received this. The transformation directions for Optimus is unreal haha, I think the box said something like "10 easy steps". After a few weeks he can do it but I wouldn't be shocked if it breaks when being transformed. This one is better than bumble bee though, he comes with a pamphlet for how to fold! Son loves it no matter what.
