It worked fine when I had it programmed, but I never asked about it being GM qualified. Hope this helps. **Q: How do you program it to a vehicle? Or do have to take it to a locksmith?** A: Take it to your cars dealer( I did it when I had an oil change done). They have to program it to your car.
