However after working with the deck for a little while, I felt I needed to edit my review and reduce my star rating. I don't like the deck as much as I did when it first arrived.First, what I DO like about this deck:The artwork is stunning. I was particularly impressed with the vibrancy of the colors of this deck. Many times the colors on the web are more saturated than the final print, but that was not the case with these cards. This deck is bright, warm and beautiful! The colors are almost neon, they're so bright, but not at all distasteful. They beckon you to pick them up, they're full of joy, celebration and creativity.The Major Arcana is in line with the traditional titles (The Fool, The Magician, etc), as well as the Minor Arcana: Wands, Cups, Pentacles and Swords. So no complicated re-learning curve.What I DO NOT like about this deck:The card stock is very thick with a gloss coating, which I don't care for. The gloss coating results in the cards "sticking" to one another.The cards were not properly printed. If you look at the images I've attached, you'll notice the right and left green borders are different widths. While this is not a "deal killer," the offset appearance is extremely distracting. Very unprofessional for such a major manufacturer (Schiffer) to make this kind of mistake.But the really big negative I have is that these cards are VERY large. The size is more like oracle than tarot cards. They are 3.5" wide by 4.75" high. This makes the cards extremely difficult for my small hands to shuffle.Beth Seilonen's artwork is gorgeous, but Schiffer is doing her a disservice by creating cards so large that the average tarot reader can't physically handle them! The cards are unusable. This is the second Schiffer deck I've purchased and I won't be buying another for this very reason.Schiffer, if you're reading this? Most tarot readers are women. Newsflash? Women have small hands!!I own 56 decks of tarot and oracle cards and this is one of the most beautiful deck I have ever owned. But I'm currently trying to figure out how I'm going to trim these cards just so that I can use them. As they are right now, out of the box, they are unusable to me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ my favorite deck *by T***S on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on June 14, 2013* These were so worth the wait! This is a handful at 3 1/2" X 5 5/8" X 1 1/4" thick, but I have big hands and use the giant Rider Waite tarot cards without issue. Very beautiful and every card is interesting and has fantastic water colors. Came in a sturdy keepsake box the size of a cigar box with ribbons to open it and keep the lid from falling back, didn't expect all of that too. At the bottom of each card it names the card but with a nice font. The backs shows two ravens flying towards each other so you can't tell if it's reversed and the accompanying book gives reversal meanings for each card in a box on the page if you use reversal readings. All of my other decks I keep in custom crocheted bags color coordinated to the decks that a friend makes for me and she made a yellow and white bag for this deck with the top opening having points like the ravens wings do and a raven on the front. I highly recommend this deck! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful cards but hard to shuffle *by A***G on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 11, 2020* These Raven cards really are quite lovely, but they are a hard cardstock, over sized, and hard to shuffle. I think it would take a long time for these to become comfortable in my hand. Still, they are beautiful, and I like the interpretations of each of the cards.
