So, rather than guess at the answer to your question, I just checked the M-Audio website. Their description says that the Keystation 49 MK3 has a synth action. That type of action, typically, is a lighter spring feel than the semi-weighted feel. I actually liked the feel,of the 88 II. I owned two of them. One lasted four years. The second unit only one and a half years. I take particularly good care of my equipment. And don’t pound on the keys. However, they both failed far too soon, in my opinion. I have switched to the Nektar brand. Only time will tell about their durability. I had some scepticism regarding the size of the keys but after using it for a while it doesn't seem like that big of a deal.Offcourse its a small keyboard and being very compact and portable is it's biggest strength. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alternative to Expensive Music keyboards *by F***R on 16 March 2025* Purchased this to practice Harmonium music lessons using the Jalra App. I had to order a seperate convertor for USB Type A (female) to Type-C (Male) adaptor. My initial impression was about to reject the product as it did not work with the USB Hub. You need to install the music app to make use of this Midi controller. I use the Jalra App for playing harmonium. Keys are a bit hard and slowly becomes alright. I tested the device using other Piano apps that support Midi Keyboard inputs.. I am happy about the purchase as it provides me the flexibility to practice wherever and whenever I want.. It is so light and small enough to be carried in your 16" laptop bag. I have tested it using my Laptop (Windows 11, Acer Aspire 7) and Mobile (OnePlus Open and Samsung Note 10Plus) - both work superbly!The USB cable that came with the controller works fine when the device is directly connected to the laptop. Make sure you install the Midi application before connecting the device.In addition to the Midi keyboard - I had to buy the following:1. USB Type A (Female) to Type-C (Male) cable.2.
