The stains must have been there for around 3 months so were not fresh (discovered when one child threw up in the back of the car)! I tried absolutely everything to remove the stains - soap and water first, then furniture clinic dye remover, then their degreaser (which is also meant to “pull the stain out”), other leather care kit stain remover, nail varnish remover, whitening toothpaste, white paste stain remover etc. Nothing worked. The stains just would not budge. I then came across this product and based upon some of the other leather car seat stain reviews thought I would try it. I did a patch test which was fine and then got to work. I would not recommend using MX14 on unfinished leather, the surface will be porous and the leather will absorb the water and oil content darkening the area. That could be washed out but then you may end up with a water mark. I'd try it on a bit that wouldn't notice first, just to see how the suede reacts. Also, 24hrs after application you have to use a damp cloth to wipe off so you'd have to be careful with that. **Q: Does it work on office plastic carpets?** A: Good question. We have never tied it on plastic carpets before so can not say if it will be 100% successful. The real trick is APPLY directly to the stained area using a dabbing action to inject the stain with solution, LEAVE as long as possible for the best effect and then WASH the area to remove the solution, using a sponge or towel will help apply and then remove the water for washing.
