I bought this to help my older parents raise the roof of their off-road travel trailer. It's not too heavy and is very powerful (400lbs lifting capacity, I couldn't slow it down). This weight capacity was overkill for what they needed, but the length and the faster speed than lighter weight versions made it the overall best choice. I cut off the power connector that came with the actuators, so I could directly wire it to a 12v cigarette lighter, and added the base and roof plates, along with the box with a momentary switch.
