You can't put anything under to catch the juice or skin/seeds. I put it on the edge of the table (boyfriend had to use a clamp and piece of board because the clamp it is on is to narrow) and put a stool under it to catch the pulp/juice and a baking sheet on the table to catch the skin/seeds. Give it 6- turns before the handle falls off. I ended up using my boyfriends drill on slow.
